"Thick as Thieves"

Back again and I spent the day with Sassy Sally and Belle...I have a cold so they kept me company all day long!  The new Challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog is "Your Favorite Color Combo". Well, if you follow me you know how much I love the bright yellow's and red's. So here we go...

I am using the image "Thick as Thieves" from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps and the sentiment is also from Sassy Cheryl called "A Walk in the Light". I started with a white card base and added layers of red and yellow cardstock. I then added the red/white designer paper and matted the images using Spellbinders. I used Copic Sketch Markers to color my image.
On the inside of my card I added another sentiment called "Best Friends" from A Piece of Heart.  I added a smaller picture version of Sassy Sally from the same image and matted it all with Spellbinders again. I then added the buttons to the inside and front of my card.  I always have such fun coloring and designing my cards using the wonderful images from Sassy Cheryl.
I am entering my card in the following Challenges:

"Dreamin"

Hi all....Well, with this crazy weather we are experiencing I am sick with a cold.  So my "mojo" is a little slow right now.  But I have been looking over my images and I found this cute one called "Dreamin" from "Birdie Brown".  Simple yet adorable.
This is about as clean and simple as I get.  CAS cards are really hard for me, I always feel they need more. Then I see other cards and think how lovely they are.  So I colored my image with Copics and then matted it on my card. I kept the colors all simple also.
I am entering my card in the following Challenges:
Thanks for stopping by today. I will be working on my card for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and hope to have it posted by the weekend. Thank you for all your wonderful comments and be sure to check my blog Monday when I will have a special announcement.  Happy Easter everyone!!!

Delightful Thursday "Roxy at Easter"

It's Delightful Thursday again at Digital Delights!!!

Hi everyone!!! Can you believe it's almost the end of March and Easter...I can't believe we will be hiding the Easter eggs soon.  So let me tell you about my card for Delightful Thursday.

I am using a combination of 4 images from Digital Delights!  I made a "Criss-Cross Card" as my base. These cards are super easy and since I wanted to show the "Easter Egg Banner" as well as the main image it was the perfect choice.  The main image of "Roxy at Easter" was merged together with the image "Flower Background". I had to call on my crafting friend Candy to help me with this as I tend to forget things....lol
Once merged together, I colored the image with Copics and added some stickles here and there. I then colored my banner for the personal message insert and matted all on my card base. I added a tab to the top of the personal message slide out.  I then mounted my sentiment "Easter Blessings" which is from the Spring Sentiment Set,

"Noah & His Bunny Bandit"

Hi everyone!  It's a cold and rainy day here in northern Alabama...So I have been doing a little bit of everything today,  Reading, watched a movie while making my card, snacking all while I am still in my pajamas, lol!
So, let me show you what I have new today...It's Sassy Cheryl time again and the Challenge is "Borders, Edges, Die-Cuts, Punches".... My card has a mixture of all of them...I started with a white card base, and added some blue and yellow card stock.  Then a double loop edge punch along with corner dies. I layered my image and sentiment along with some layered designer paper.  Finished it all off with buttons.  I love those tiny buttons on the corner dies and image.  The image and front sentiment are both from Sassy Cheryl.
On the inside of my card I stayed again with the same papers, punches, dies and buttons. I did add a cute sentiment from Desert Diva.

"Easter Bunny Parade"

Hi everyone, Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I got some more crafting finished up and then decorated the walls of my new condo.

Today, I am showing you a card I made using another cute image from Di's Digis called "Easter Bunny Parade". Sooooo cute... I love these cute Easter images.  This one is colored with Copics and the edges are inked with Memento "Lilac Posies" Ink.  I pulled out some very cute Easter egg designer paper and also whipped up some flowers from the scraps left over. It is hard to see but my Easter eggs in the image got a good coat of "Stardust" Stickles.

The sentiment "Easter Blessings" is part of the Spring Sentiments Set from Digital Delights. I added the corner dies from Whimsy Stamps and a Memory Box "Corner Bow" then finally some pink gems from my stash.

I am entering my card in the following Challenges:

Di's Digis "Kite Flying Ted"

Hi again!!!  I wanted to show you a cute little birthday card I made today.  I tend to favor little boy cards - I guess because I have 2 who were precious when they were little and still are....Isn't this just the cutest image! It is from Di's Digis and is called "Kite Flying Ted".

I started my card with a white card base and added 3 different layers. All layers were inked with faux stitching.  I then added my image which was matted on Spellbinders Circle Dies.  The sentiment also was completed using Spellbinders and is from Desert Diva.
For some reason when I take a front photo the glitter really shows up.  But it is not this shiny on the card.  The pearls on the right side of the card are actually a red to match the red in the kite.  I added a kite die-cut and used Copics to color everything.  Next I inked the edges of my clouds with Memento Ink in "Sky Blue" and was finished.
On the inside I stayed with the same designer papers and added a cute sentiment from Tracey with BrossArt Designs.  On the bottom half I used the circles to make the personal message area and added some blue and red kites.
I am entering my card in the following Challenges:
That's it for me today...I hope everyone is planning a great St. Pat's Day and be sure to wear your green...You will have to forgive me for the small print - seems sometimes Blogger has a mind of it's own...Thanks for stopping by and I so love all your wonderful comments.  Take care....

Di's Digis "Easter Bunnies Plant Pot"

Hi everyone!  I know, can you believe it - another card from me this soon.  I have to say I have had so much fun this week creating cards. My life has really changed and I am beginning to have some contentment. I have realized that if I can't sleep due to all that I have been through - then no big deal, I just sleep when I can.  I do things that make me happy and I am learning to accept those things which I cannot change.

So on to this wonderful image from Di's Digis called "Easter Bunnies Plant Pot".  How cute is this.  I decided to try a tri-fold card this time.  Can you believe I have never used a tri-fold card before....I live in a small town where we do not have a lot of craft stores.  So I have been digging into my stash for designer papers to use.  I found this lovely floral design and although it looks blue in the photograph, actually the colors are a turquoise/blue and corals/golds. My image is colored with Copics and I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Dies to cut the images out and mat them. My corner dies are from Cheery Lynn Designs
As you untie the bow and open the card this is the inside. Just a simple personal message area along with a "Easter Blessings" sentiment from Digital Delights. I added a homemade flower to bring out the gold in the card. This card was just too simple and I can't believe it took me so long to try one.  Hope you enjoy it...

This was my first Easter Card and hopefully I can get a few more finished.  I found some lovely images to use but not sure I will get them all completed. Hope all of you had a wonderful week and I know you are looking forward to the weekend.  Thank so much for stopping by today.

Well, the "Ides of March" are upon us, almost....Sunday is St. Patrick's Day so everyone be sure and get your green on...My maiden name is "Murphy" so I am about as Irish as they come!  And to celebrate I made a St. Pat's Day card using "Shamrock Pat" from Digital Delights....
Talk about green!  I colored "Shamrock Pat" with my copics.  And added a lovely "St. Patrick's Day Sentiment" also from Digital Delights and cut out with a Spellbinder Die and inked with Memento Ink in "Cottage Ivy".  Next, I cut my shamrocks out and inked the edges in the same ink.  I then added some varigated green braided floss for the stems.  The pearl button in the middle is for the little whitish flower that clover has.  I hope everyone gets that part, lol....I then added my corner dies, again, inked with ink and the green pearls.  "Stardust Stickles" from Ranger were added to the finished image.
In this picture you can see a little of the shimmer better. Of course, the inside of my card has the same designer papers as the front and I just added a personal message area.

"Sassy Sally Meets Bella" My Way

Hi everyone, can you believe I am back again with another card...As I said in my last post, I am going to start using the images I love and making the cards I love to make.  And if you are one of my followers then you know how much I love Sassy Cheryl's images.

So, the other night I just could not get to sleep and I got up, grabbed my laptop and printed out the new images from Sassy Cheryl's.   I sat down and colored for 4 hours.  It was wonderful!  By the time I was through with my last image, I could barely hold my eyes open and I went right to sleep.  Which was great since sleep is hard for me since I lost my hubby.
But on to my card....Sally and Bella are colored with Copics and my designer papers are some that I have had for a long time.  The challenge at Sassy Cheryl this week is: Green, Orange and White". Well, my colors are Green in the leaves of the flowers, a Coral Orange background and then white. So that's close enough me thinks...lol
On the inside of my card I used a wonderful sentiment "God really did something SPECIAL, when He blessed me with a FRIEND like you!"  My flowers are all homemade inside and out.
My Card Recipe:
