"Pastel Colors" with QKR Stampede

Hi there my friends - time for a new Challenge at QKR Stampede!

And wow, we had some wonderful creations last week and we want to
thank everyone who shared their cards with us.

Our Theme this week is "Pastel Colors"

We also are fortunate to have Darlene Pavlick of Dars Crafty Creations

joining us this month as our January Guest Designer! As this is the last
Challenge at QKR for the month we are sorry to say this will be
Darlene's last post with us and I want to say a big thank you to her
for showcasing her wonderful creations with us this month.

I did a simple pastel card this week.  We have sold our home and have been very busy getting rid of things that we seem to have accumulated during the 16 years in our home.  Boy where does the time go and how do we seem to collect so much stuff.....lol  

 I started my card this time with a smaller card base.  I had a package of these cards that I bought when I first started card making over a year ago.  I colored my image with Copics and inked the edges with Memento "Cantaloupe" Ink.  When I went to print this image - to my surprise my ink cartridge ran out and the sentiment was very light.  I could not believe it...Sooo, what's a girl to do but get out her C3 Copic and fill it in.  

I used a Spellbinders Die to cut the image out as well as the designer papers. I added some corner dies with pink buttons and a pink bow with a cute small blue/pink flower button. 

The inside is much like the front with some blue/creme felt hearts and added button.  Then I added the personal message area.
