"Bounty of Blessings"

Hi my "sassy" friends...And Happy Halloween to all of you.  To those affected by "Sandy" my prayers are still going out to you and your families.  The pictures are just devastating.  Today I am showing you a card I made using a sentiment and image from Eureka Stamps.
I started with a shaped base card that was giving to me by a good friend.  Thanks Kim...I then used some dies to cut out different shapes of solid and patterned designer papers.  My image itself is colored with Copic Sketch Markers.
I used some creme mesh under my designer papers.  I added the flowers, leaves and then inked the edges of my card.

My Card Recipe:
Image & Sentiment - #16201 & #16104 - Eureka Stamps
Dies - Spellbinders - Labels One & Labels Fifteen - Hobby Lobby
Leaf Dies - "Pine Branches" - Cheery Lynn Dies
Everything Else - My Stash

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope everyone is staying safe today after the storm.  And if you have had a chance to get a card or project finished with buttons and bows be sure to head on over to the Challenges at Eureka Stamps and enter them.

Hi everyone! Once again it's time for a new challenge at Love to Create Challenges....But first we want to thank all of you who joined us this past week for our "Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere" Challenge.  We had some wonderful entries.

This week our theme is "Lots of Layers"

Our Wonderful Sponsor is:
Fresh Brewed Designs
I decided to use a scripture along with an image all from Fresh Brewed Designs for my card to showcase today.
A few posts ago I told you about using cupcake holders to make my flowers.  I got this idea from a crafting friend - Thanks again Vicky...So here are my "cupcake flowers: only this time I inked them with Memento Ink to match my card.  I colored the cute image with Copics and matted both the image and scripture using Spellbinders Dies.
I added some autumn leaves and embellishments to the flowers.  The finishing touch was the added pearls in the center of the flowers.  On the inside I continued with the same designer papers along with a personal message area.
My Card Recipe:

Dies - Spellbinders Nestabilities - Labels Twelve - Hobby Lobby

QKR Stampede "Sentiment as Focal Point"

First, we would like to thank all of you who joined us last week. The entries were fantastic. And we hope you all will join us again this week for our new Challenge.

Our Theme this week is "Use A Sentiment as the Focal Point"

I wasn't sure if my card would turn out nice but then again I never know if they will so not much difference there....lol.   I knew I wanted to use these designer papers and the scalloped card base.  The ornamental frame was given to me by a good friend, thank you Kim...
I also need to tell you about my flower.  It is hand-made and I got the idea to use cupcake holders from another crafting friend....Thank you Vicky...I saw Vicky make some flowers from them and they were beautiful.  Hers were all different colors and so bright...I found mine in this cream and tan color from Walmart - they were Martha Stewart.  I thought I would try them out on this card and I really love them.
I kept the inside of my card fairly simple just adding a personal message area.  On the front of the card I also used some corner dies and added pearls to them.  I then added the leaf branches to my flower with the center pearls and was finished.

My Card Recipe:
Sentiment - Digi #8717 - "Merry Christmas" - QKR Stampede
Corner Dies - "Lace Corner Deco B" - Cheery Lynn Designs - Joan's Gardens
Leaf Dies - "Pine Branches" - Cheery Lynn Dies
Flower Dies - "Bloom" - Lifestyle Crafts

Delightful Challenges "Faux or Real Stitching"

Today starts a new Challenge over at Delightful Challenges.  We want to thank everyone who joined us last week. We had some wonderful entries.

We have a wonderful Sponsor this week:

We have for you a fun new challenge this week
we would love to see
Stitching (real or faux)

So staying with the upcoming Halloween Tradition I chose to use by little buddie "Count Batula" and the wonderful "Halloween Accessory Set"
As you can see I really made my card colorful.  My images all matched up with the designer papers perfectly.  I just love the "Count" and wanted to make him funny...However, if you ever see a vampire bat that looks like he does - well you better run....lol
This  is not the best picture of the front of my card. I just cannot seem to get the glare out.  I colored my card with Copics and inked the clouds with Memento Ink.  I added "Stardust" Stickles to the house and the Count. I fancy cut the images and then used 3-D pop-up dots for a 3-D effect.  I added the clouds and picket fence along with a multi-colored bat.  I think I would run also if you see one like that also.....When I was finished I then created faux stitching all around my card.
My Card Recipe:
Image - "Count Batula" - Digital Delights by LoubyLoo
Sentiment  - "You're Spookerific" - Ghoulish Sentiments - Digital Delights by LoubyLoo
Image - "Halloween House" - Halloween Accessory Set - Digital Delights by LoubyLoo
Dies - "Puffy Clouds" - Memory Box - Ellen Hutson LLC
Dies - "Picket Fence" - Memory Box - Joan's Gardens
Dies - "Swooping Bats" - Memory Box - SCACD
Die for Sentiment - "Mega Ovals" - Spellbinders - Hobby Lobby
Everything Else - My Stash

Sassy Cheryl's "Candy Girl"

Hi my sassy friends...I am back again today with a design by Sassy Cheryl (one of my favorites)...This is an image called "Candy Girl Halloween"....I love, love, love her... However, I also used an image of a pumpkin from another favorite designer of mine...Her name is Kathryne Elizabeth and you can find her blog hereWhimsy Stamps also sells her digital images. But I'm not done yet because I used another favorite designer for my sentiment.....Thank you Wendy Hall with Digital Delights by LoubyLoo....I think this is the first time I have been able to use all 3 favorite designers in one card.....
The image is a design from 2010 and is one of my first when I was learning to use Copics.  I decided to use up some scraps I had with this card.  Don't we all have a lot of card stock scraps and such.  I inked the edges of everything (lol) with Memento Ink, made my easel card, added yellow and orange left over ribbon along with a big bow and buttons.  Easy Peasy....

My Card Recipe:
Image- "Candy Girl Halloween" - Sassy Cheryl Designs
Pumpkin Image - "Happy Pumpkin" - Kathryne Elizabeth - Whimsy Stamps
Sentiment - "Best Witches" - Halloween Sentiments - Digital Delights by LoubyLoo

I chose to use these cute little Halloween guys from the "Halloween Toppers Set" for Digital Delights by LoubyLoo....
First I took the little guys and colored them with Copics then cut them out with my Spellbinders Circle Scallop die.  I distressed the edges with ink and punched a single hole at the top.  I then put a small bag of candy in a small clear treat bag and tied it up with some orange and yellow ribbon.  How cute are they....

Next, I took the same little guys again coloring them with Copics.  I used another Spellbinder Die to cut them out and matted them on the same die only larger.  I distressed the edges and added some bows to my goodie bags...These were filled with peanut butter kisses...Ummmm!!!

It was so much fun fixing these little Halloween Treats....I can't wait to hand them out on the big night...
