"Dress like the world is watching"

Hi my "sassy" friends...Hope everyone is having a great week.  My card today is another inspiration card for the challenge over at "Tammy's Scrapin Corner".  The theme this week is "Anything Goes Any Artist" and who could not resist Saturated Canary.  This beauty is called "Gypsy Dancer".  I colored her dress all different pretty pastel colors.  I wanted to give her brunette hair along with some blonde highlights.
The inside I left pretty plain to show off the beautiful designer paper. I just added a personal signature area along with more flowers as I used on the front of my card.
I added some yellow sunflower pearls on the image itself and a flourish under the flowers at the top left-hand corner.  I used a Kraft Card Base and I have to say I have not used Kraft very much before but I love it.  Hope you enjoy viewing my newest card today...
My Card Recipe:

For my inspiration card I chose to use an image from Some Odd Girl called "Dressy-Kaylee".  I colored my image with Copic's and added some pastel flowers to match the pastel colors in the designer papers.
On the inside of my card I used the same designer papers and I used faux stitching thoughtout the front and insides of my card.  I also included the same pastel flowers with yellow brads in the centers.
I added some light pink gems and a light blue tag that I stamped my sentiment on.  I bought the stamp for the sentiment at a yard sale and have no idea where it came from.  It reads, "A Hug is a great gift, One size fits all. It can be given for any occasion and it's easy to exchange".  I added some flourishes with the flowers and I was finished.

For my inspiration card I chose to use the image "Plum Fairy" by Natalie of Moon Cookie Garden. I cheated just a little by using a tad of light pink on my card.  I embossed the second layer of my card but it is really hard to see in the photo.  You can see it a little better in this picture.
I used some stickles on the flowers and my fairy and placed small white pearls on the scallops of the die cut.  I added some beautiful white flowers around my image.
On the inside I chose to use the light pink cardstock again along with a sentiment "I could spend an eternity holding your Hand".  I then added more of the same white flowers around the personal message area.

"Happy Birthday with Lucy Lou"

If you are a follower of mine you know how much I love "Sassy Cheryl".  I stay so busy now and have not entered in her challenges for about two weeks.  Something I just cannot keep missing.  I cannot function without doing a "Sassy Cheryl Card"....However, can you believe I have just found her group on Paper Craft Planet.  I know, how did I miss this.....Well if you are not a member you are missing out. Cheryl's digi's just keep getting cuter.
This week the challenge at Sassy Cheryl is "Birthdays".  So here is my card using the cute "Lucy Lou and Her Bear Paddy".  They are a cute pair and would be welcomed at any party....You too can enter and your image does not have to be a Sassy Cheryl image, she gets a "big kick" out of seeing other images. So you "sassy" gals and guys get your birthday cards together and head on over to the Sassy Cheryl Challenge.
I added some pinwheel flowers with white pearls in the middle along with some flourishes.  To my image I added distressing ink to the edges and then added deep yellow corners to the top edges.
The inside is finished with the same colored designer papers and the personal message area is distressed with ink and I added some very thin swirls and pearls which are hard to see from the picture.

"Zombie Girl"

Hey there my "Sassy" friends...I know, I know this is something different for me...But I just had to try a card like this.  This image is called "Zombie Girl" and is from The Stamping Boutique.  I used some burlap behind my image and some flourishes along with dark pink gems. I added some distressing ink around my image and sentiment.  I added a perfect sentiment I think...."I wonder what you think when you see me..."  lol  It was a fun image to color and I did have fun putting my card together but quickly realized I did not really have the right embellies to go with this type of image.  Oh well, it was fun anyway...

"Butterflies" Whimsy Stamps Challenge #43

Hey my "Sassy" crafting friends... It's Wednesday and time for a new challenge at Whimsy Stamps Inspirational Challenges!!! Before I tell you the challenge details I would like to thank everyone who joined in our last challenge.

Our theme this week is "Buttons and Bows"

Just a reminder you do not have to use a Whimsy image. It would be wonderful if you did though and as we welcome all paper projects, your project does not have to be a card.

Our Prize this week is:
As well as a random winner being chosen for each challenge, one lucky person who has used a Whimsy Stamps image (rubber or digital) will have the opportunity to be a guest designer for a future challenge. If you have used a Whimsy image and would like to be a future guest designer please add GDT to your name when entering the challenge. The guest designer will be able to choose a digi stamp of their choice from the store to create on their guest card.

Remember, anyone can enter our challenge and we do not mind if you combine with other challenges. However, please no more than 3 entries per challenge. We also ask that you add a link in your blog post to tell your friends you entered the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Challenge.

For my card I chose to use a design by Kathryn of "Stamp Art Design".  Kathryn is an artist for Whimsy Stamps and the images I used are called "Butterfly Border". I also cut out one of the butterflies in 4 different sizes, colored them, applied some stickles and pearls/gems.  I added my bow with a green button in the middle along with another button on the card base of the easel part of the card.  I used bakers twine in the middle of the buttons.   I used a scallop die to cut the backing for the sentiment and colored the original butterfly border to match the colors in my card.
This is a view of the card lying flat.  It just folds up and although it will not fit in an envelope it will fit in a card box.  Below is the side view of my card.

"Copper Christy"

Hey all my "sassy" friends out there...Once again it is time for a new challenge at Love To Create Challenges.  This week's theme is "Add something recycled to your project"  Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs and what wonderful images they have.
For my inspiration card I chose to use "Copper Christie".  I decided to go with "hot pink" and make Christie a little "sassy"...I used coffee filters for my flowers and distressed them with some pink and yellow ink. Then I wrinkled up my filters, flattened them out and used a die to cut the flowers.  I then double stacked the layers and attached a small brad in the centers to hold them together.
As you can see my card is very bright and colorful....lol.  I decided to just leave the inside plain adding only the design papers as on the front along with a personal message area so I did not take a picture this time of the inside.  But, here is another view of my card.
The sentiment is one that I have forgotten where I found it. "If you obey all the Rules, You miss all the Fun". It is a quote by "Katherine Hepburn".
My Card Recipe:
Solid Cardstock & Pink Check Designer Paper - My Stash
Black Designer Paper - My Minds Eye - Hobby Lobby

"A Special Daddy"

It's a new challenge over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner this Monday...This week our theme is "For the Boys/Fathers Day".  Your card does not have to be for Fathers Day it can be just a "boy" card.  We are not picky and it does not even have to be a card, just as long as it is a paper project.
Our sponsor this week is Meljen's Designs and all the design team members will be using their images.  They are the cutest images as I think we all will agree...Meljen's is offering one lucky winner a chance to win 4 free images of their choice.
For my card I chose to use an image by Meljen's called "Pappa Bear".  I thought it was the cutest image.  I added a special little sentiment "A Special Daddy" and a few embellies.
My papers are green, blue and yellow stripe and plaid.  I also added two strips of a braided cord that I have had in my stash forever.
I distressed all the edges of my image and sentiment and on the inside I again stayed with the same color theme and papers.
