"Skating"

Hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day Holiday...It is hot, hot, hot here in Northern Alabama and I am full on hot dogs and hamburgers...My card I want to share with you today is a stamp by Nellie Snellen. I have had this stamp for awhile now and since there are so many challenges out there wanting to see male cards I decided to use it for my card today.  I love that little doggie on skates, lol!  I took a few more pictures from different angles to show you.
This picture is the front on view and I got it a little lopsided.  I used a Zig Marker to do the faux stitching.  I also used 3-D Dots on each corner of my image and the star to try to get a 3-D look, which does not show up very well in the pictures but does on the card itself.
I normally try to finish my cards by doing the insides as well.  The "B" is a die-cut from Bo Bunny Press that I have had forever, lol...
I wanted to show you the personal message area of the card and the cute die-cut that reads "Eat Dirt".

Card Recipe:
Card Base, Card Stock, Designer Papers, Pre-Made Die-Cut Star - My Stash
Copic Sketch Markers, Cryogen White Paper, Sookwang Adhesive - 7 Kids College Fund
EK Success Rounded Corner Punch, Zig Marker Black 0.5mm, Gems, Small Stars - Hobby Lobby
Pre-Made Die Cuts - BoBunny Press
Die Cut - Spellbinders - Hobby Lobby
Image - Nellie Snellen - Schoffie Skating (I am not sure where I purchased)

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope all of you are enjoying your long weekend.

"Ballet Rosie"

Hey there my "Sassy" friends, yours truly here with a sweet little "pinky" girlie card today.  I first saw this image at my friend Vicky's Blog.  Of course she did such a better job than I have with it but I knew I just had to have this precious angel,  You should really check out Vicky's blog if you haven't yet. Vixx Handmade Cards.  She does super work.... Most everything I used for my card all came from my stash, things I have had for so long.  Like the sentiment, "Twinkle Toes" and the flowers, the "princess crown" and gems. I love using bright colors and had such a fun time doing this card.
I decided the inside really did not need a lot more because the flower designer paper was so busy I was afraid it would take away from the pretty pattern.  Here is just another view, I got camera happy, so bear with me....lol
My Card Recipe:
Card Stock, Designer Paper, Gems, Bow, Flowers, Sentiment, Pink Crown - My Stash
Image - Ballet Rosie - Digi Stamp Boutique
Copic Sketch Markers, Cryogen White Paper - 7 Kids College Fund
Corner Dies - Whimsy Shapeology Collection - Whimsy Stamps

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
That's it for me today.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful week..  Thanks for stopping by.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #11

Hi everyone, time for another challenge over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenges.  The theme for this week's challenge is "Show Me Your Distress" and our sponsor is "Bug-A-Boo Stamps".  So all the design team members are using some of the wonderful images from Bug-A-Boo on our cards today.  I chose "Hat Snail" and decided I wanted to do a pastel spring colored card.  I distressed my edges and then used ink to distress around the edges as well.  I made the flowers from a tutorial that my crafting friend Karen had on her blog BusyBusyHoneyBee.  Isn't that a cute blog name.  Karen does all kinds of tutorials so be sure and check out her blog.  The flowers were very easy to make and I had such fun with them.  Oh I guess you would like to see my card, lol...
I did not take a picture of the inside because I left it fairly plain and just used the same paper theme with a personal message area.

Sassy Sally

If you follow me then you know how much I love Sassy Cheryl's Designs.  I try not to miss her challenges but I think for the last two weeks I have missed them.  I have been a very busy lady these days but I was determined not to miss out this week.  When I miss her challenges my "mojo" get's all out of whack....And also I have all my little "sassie" buddies staring at me saying "Miss Raggedy please, please color me and put me in a card".  Well, that's what goes on in my mind anyway, lol....

So today I have Miss Sassy Sally and to me she is just sitting there thinking of so many things.  Sally reminds me of when I was young and would go outside and sit in the grass and think "How come nobody understands me", lol.  I still do that sometimes...  I can see I did not get my round card straight for the picture, Sally kinda looks like she may just fall over, but trust me she is straight on the card.  I love the colors of the card stock and papers. The challenge this week at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog is "Anything But A Square Card".  So be sure and head on over to enter you card.
On the inside of my card I added the sentiment "Nobody notices what I do until I don't do it"...I put my card together with a small brad that is hidden with the bow.

Our Prize this week is:
As well as a random winner being chosen for each challenge, one lucky person who has used a Whimsy Stamps image (rubber or digital) will have the opportunity to be a guest designer for a future challenge.  If you have used a Whimsy image and would like to be a future guest designer please add GDT to your name when entering the challenge.  The guest designer will be able to choose a digi stamp of their choice from the store to create on their guest card.

So now for my Inspiration Card.  I chose to use an image from Natalie or Moon Cookie, called "Spring Garden" which was designed for and can be found at Whimsy Stamps.
I love this design and I thought it matched my designer paper so nicely.  I did not add a sentiment to this card because I wanted to let the colors and design shine through.  The inside follows the same paper theme and I kept it also fairly plain.  The flowers are so bright and colorful and I added some "Stardust" Stickles to make them shine more.

"Millie" Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day !!!  It is raining here in Northern Alabama and just a dreary day.  So what a great day for crafting.   I have another Mother's Day card for you today.  This time I used a very popular Lili of the Valley stamp colored with Copics.  Then everything else is red and white.  I love red.... I used a big red/white gingham bow with a big red button in the middle.  A little hard to see the handmade flowers but they actually stand out more than you can see in the picture.
On the inside I left it pretty plain with just a simple sentiment and a personal message area along with two more of the big red buttons.

My Card Recipe:

Mother's Day - Flower Girl

Today I have a Mo Manning image to show off.  This was one of the first images I ever used Copic Markers on so please forgive the coloring.  I still love the image and after winning the flowers in a "Candy" prize I so wanted to use it.  It just reminds me of "May Day" and flowers.  I wanted to give it sort of a
vintage look may shabby chic so I distress the edges of my card stock, designer paper and image with distress ink and used a doily with the distress ink also.  I added the antique trinket, flowers and stick pins
and was done.
The inside of my card was completed with the same papers only I added a Mother's Day Tag which I won in a "Candy Win" also, only I cut the tag part off because I wanted to only use the sentiment.  Another antique trinket which I add a pink gem to and it was finished.  I used a pink brad to attach the cards together so they would slide open and close.  I hid the brad with the flowers.

Card Recipe:
Image - Flower Girl - Mo's Digital Pencils
Sookwang Adhesive, Copic Sketch Markers, Cryogen White Paper - 7 Kid's College Fund
Distressing Inks - Tim Holtz - Tea Bag - Hobby Lobby
White Pearl Stick Pin - Maya Road - Vintage Pearl - SCADC
Heart Stick Pins - Joann's Crafts
Antique Trinkets - Bo Bunny Trinkets - Garden Girl - SCADC
Card stock, Designer Paper, Flowers, Doily, Mothers Day Tag - My Stash
Rangers Stardust Stickles - SCADC
