Dancing Easter Bunny

Let's everybody dance...I finally did a scalloped circular card - yea...My image is "Dancing Easter Bunny" by Sassy Cheryl.  Really the card was so easy I just can't believe it took me so long to do one...I used my  scallop and circle dies from Cheery Lynn Designs for all my die cuts, colored my bunny with Copic Sketch Markers and used some flower brads as embellishments.  Everything is from my stash except the tulle which I just bought because I could not resist the wonderful spring colors.  The "Happy Easter" sentiment is from BrossArt.  Here is another view of my card.
The inside uses the same papers and die cuts with a sentiment from Doodle Pantry Digi Doodles, "You're an eggs-traordinary friend".  Trying to get a picture of the inside was a little tricky so I had to take it apart to get it to stay open long enough to shoot the pic, lol....
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week and don't forget to get your cards in over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner for her challenge this week. Click on her name and it will take you to her blog.

Also, I would like to thank two wonderful crafting friends for featuring my card "Baseball" on their Facebook page.  So to Tammy with Tammy's Scrapin Corner and to Michelle with Pink Paper Paradise my sincere thanks.  I appreciate the shout out...

Baseball

Hey Crafty Friends, I'm in a baseball mood.  I have 2 sons who while in high school and college played baseball.  For those years their lives as well as my hubby and mine were filled with days of baseball games.  I would not trade those memories for anything.  Tammy over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner has for this weeks challenge a photo inspiration.  I kept thinking about the colors and since there were plenty of browns included I thought this is my chance to do a card for a male.  Now in my picture the colors are kinda off.  What looks red is not red it is a lighter color. And the darker color is a dark brown but looks black.  The lighter background paper is a light gray and my little boys cap is also gray but looks blue.  Whew, glad I cleared that up....lol

The image I used is from Digi Doodles, "Games Over".  I used my Copic Sketch Markers to color him, the card stock and papers are all from my year old stash.  I then used some scrapbook stickers I had left over from my sons baseball albums in high school.  The sentiment on the front of the card "B is for baseball" is from TLC Creations.
The inside is also darker than the real card is.  The sentiment is again one I had left over, "You can't steal second base and keep your foot on first." -Frederick B. Wilcox  I also left a personal message to add words of encouragement.  Thanks for checking in with me today, not sure what is next but stay tuned...lol

Fairy Flora

The challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil, Bronte and Bella's is "Bling it on".  Well, if you follow me you know I hardly ever do really girly lacy cards, lol...So this is about as "blingy" as I get!  Oh, don't get me wrong, I love seeing all the really lacy girly girl cards, I just can't seem to throw them together like most of you can.  Wish I could...So for my card today I used a Mo Manning image called "Baby Fairy Flora".  Colored her up using my Copic Sketch Markers in spring colors, added some gingham soft pink and blue papers and the bling.  All my embellishments are from my stash (as I am cleaning out).
The inside picture is a tad dark, not sure why as I didn't do anything different.  The sentiment is one that at this time I cannot remember where I got it from.  "On the night you were born, Every star in every sky, Shone down in envy at the twinkle in your eye".  Pretty isn't it...My dies are from Spellbinder and I distressed around the edges of my sentiment, image and personal message areas with Memento Ink in Summer Sky.

That's it for me today, I am heading to my garden to do some weeding, lol.  Yes with the dogs also...so stay tuned!!!

Easter Kitty

Hi All My Raggedy Crafty Friends...I have another Easter Card for you today.  This little cutie is called "Easter Kitty".  She is from Karen Middleton with Cuddly Buddly Crafts.  Just darling isn't she...Listen to me I got all those southern sayings down, even though I am from Denver, lol.  This was such a fun image to color.  I used my Copic Sketch Markers and no Stickles, can you believe it...  The card stock is all from my stash that I have had for a year now as are the flowers and small pink pearls for the middles.  The ribbon I picked up last year at an after Easter Sale at Walmart.  The sentiment "Happy Easter" is a "freebie" from Tracey over at BrossArt Addiction.  Tracey makes beautiful cards and has loads of other sentiments along with more freebies, so go and check her out.
The inside of my card uses the same card stock with a personal message space and flowers.  The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry Digital Doodles, "You're an eggs - traordinary friend".  Check them out also...My die-cuts are from my Spellbinder Dies.

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of your day...Happy Crafting...

Flower Chick

Here is my first Easter card of the year.  I saw this cute little chick and just knew I had to have it.  They're are two images here and both are from Cuddly Buddly.  The "Flower Chick" is a design by Karen Middleton.  I merged them together and colored them with my new Prismacolor Pencils that I won from Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge.  The coloring is not that good but afterward I went online and found a tutorial about shading with the pencils, so I will do better next time.  I always seem to do things backward.  lol  The circular sentiment is a "freebie" from Netty's Cards and the ribbon for the bow, flowers and pearl are all from my stash.

On the inside I used Spellbinder Scalloped Die-Cuts and the little "Flower Chick" again.  Added the spring flowers and brads for the middles which are all from my stash.  Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful week.  Crafting of course.

Faith, Hope, Love

Today is a real Spring Day here in Northern Alabama.  In the 70's, breezy and sunshiny.  So very nice, too nice to stay inside, so soon I will be out to my garden.  I made my card today with the WordArt Wednesday Challenge in mind.  Normally, I would not add an image but hey a girl has to go crazy every now and then, lol...I love the scripture for this week, it is one of my favorites as is this image from Kim McFarlane.  She is a cutie also.  My papers are all from my stash, and the layout is just a very simple one.  My die-cuts are all from Spellbinder, she is colored with Copics and Stardust Stickles on her shoes and the heart.  The ribbon for the bow, buttons and bow gem are all from my stash.

As you can see I kept the inside very plain, using just the die-cuts and a sentiment from Ginger House, "Love is just another four letter word (but it's a word I only share with you)."  Nice, huh....You should really check out Ginger House for Sentiments, they are all free and she has a new one everyday.  Just click on the name and it will take you there.  Well, here's hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Guest Bar Tender at Raise The Bar

Hey everyone, Just wanted to let you know I am being featured as one of the Guest Bar Tenders this week over at the Raise The Bar Challenge. The Challenge is "In the Garden" and below is my card.
I decided to use an image from Crafts and Me called "Bottom of the Garden".  It is colored with Copic Sketch Markers and the Sentiment is from TLC Creations, "Chin Up".  The card stock and added flowers and brads are all from my stash.

The inside has an image from Clear Dollar Stamps, "Sunshine and Smiles" which I also colored with Copics.  I included an area for a personal message that was created with Spellbinder Dies.  The colored images are all distress with Memento Ink, New Sprout.  The flowers again are from my stash and I used Brads as the middles.  It was so much fun to be a "Guest Bar Tender" so head on over to Raise The Bar and check out what the other Guest Bar Tenders have for you....

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget about Tammy's Challenge and the great prize this week over at Tammys Scrapin Corner Challenge.  If you want to know what the prize is, well you just have to go to her blog and check it out, but I will say it is another wonderful one.  I got my card in today....

Sassy Ladybugs

Hi all....Here I am again today with a design from Sassy Cheryl called "Callie and her Ladybug Friends".  I am so sad because I order some of Sassy Cheryl's new rubber stamps and still do not have them, boo hoo....Another reason I am spoiled by digi's....So this is "Callie" isn't she adorable.  I used the sketch design from Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge which you can find here.  I added some embellishments to the design but otherwise stayed right with it, which is a first for me, lol...I also added some flowers and ladybugs from Sassy Cheryl as embellishments.  The sentiment is a "freebie"  from Netty's Cards which you can find here.  She has many free sentiments so be sure and check it out.

On the inside I kept with a very simple design using more of the flowers (cut-outs) and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  I included a sentiment from TLC Designs and used Spellbinder round and scallop dies.  All my card stock and papers I have had for over a year, as I am trying to use up my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope everyone is having a wonderful day...

Days of Spring

The Days of Spring are here, but in Alabama I think we went right to summer...However, the pollen is in the air and I am sneezing...  I was hoping to have some new stamps to use by now.  I ordered them about 2 weeks ago and still do not have them, I am sooo spoiled by digi stamps.  I love this verse and the card was so easy to put together.  I have had all my papers and embellishments for over a year and I am trying to use them all up.

The inside has the same DP Paper with a little yellow angel and a butterfly resting on the personal message note.  It must be my computer because the solid background is pink however it looks coral to me and the card itself is purple. Course, could be my eyes too, lol.
Everyone please remember Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge for this week.  You can find her blog with all the information here.  She wants to see us use her sketch on our cards and we can use anything as long as she can see the sketch in it.  I am going to get started on my card today.  She has another great prize to win so stop by her blog and check it out.  I won last week and can't wait to start coloring with my set of Prismacolor Pencils.  Hope everyone is have a great week, I am so far.  My son the Marine (who just returned from Afghanistan, smile) has drill duty for the next 4 days and hubby is out of town till Sunday.  Just me and the dogs, oh me.....No telling what might happen....lol

I cannot believe how hot it is here in Alabama.  Today it was 87 and yes the A/C got turned on...I will never make it through the summer, lol...I have just a small Birthday Card to show you today.  I saw this little cutie and just had to have him.  I have a friend who has a little grandson and she needed a card for him so this is what I came up with.  He was such fun to color...The card has layers and Bootsie is cut out and centered on tan and white checked paper with ribbon on each side.

On the inside it was left very simple with just the arched Birthday Sentiment and a place for a personal message.
Hope everyone is having a great week and getting all their cards made....Thanks for stopping by today.

Scout Noah

Hope everyone made it through St. Paddy's Day without too many pinches....I got to see both my son's today and we had dinner together so that was wonderful...My card today is for quite a few challenges.  Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week is "Wearin' of the Green" and I know there are others for the color green.  Allsorts has their challenge for "Three in a Row" and there are some wanting to see buttons, as well as Male Birthdays.  Sooo, this is my card for all of those.  I wanted something a little different and thought about burlap again but just decided to go with a piece of scrap felt which I hand stitched using a running stitch around it and then sewed buttons to it.  Of course it also has faux stitching, brads and a Birthday Sentiment.

The inside has the same papers with another sentiment that reads "Wishing you a day filled with good things". I attached small brads to each corner of the sentiment, then added the faux stitching and that was it.  I promise I will get the real sewing machine down soon...lol
Hope everyone is crafting.  I have lots of time being retired and no grandchildren yet.  Thanks for taking a look today and ya'll come back soon...lol

Luck of the Irish

Ahhh, the Luck of the Irish...I am Irish on my Dad's side of the family and I can just see me in an Irish Pub drinking the ole' Ale and falling off the bar stool.....heehee!!!

But I did get my last St. Patty's Day card done in time.  A very simple card of clovers.  I followed a design by Pixie Dust Studio for their Challenge this week and this time I had no problems.  It is kinda simple but I like it that way.  You may cannot see the sentiment on the front of my card but it says, "May good luck follow wherever you go!"

The inside continues with the simple layout and a circular sentiment which says, "My Friends are like 4 leaf clovers: they are hard to find, and lucky to have".  Hope everyone has a Happy St. Patrick's Day and weekend.  Thanks for stopping by and your comments are appreciated.

Irish Dancer

Hi everyone,,,Wow, was today a beautiful day here in the South...Almost turned the AC on but held off.  Makes it hard to stay inside and craft doesn't it....Well, here is my Irish card for St. Paddy's Day.  I have another that I am working on and would love to get done in time, but probably won't with this kind of weather.  I used the Sketch from the Sketch and Stash Challenge and also used the theme from Mo's Digital Pencil, Bronte and Bella's Challenge which was a Mo Manning Image, buttons and bows.... Now, about the sketch, the slanted paper was suppose to go the other way but I got confused (imagine that) and that Sookwang stuff won't come up so here it is...The sentiment on the front reads "May your pockets be heavy, and your heart be light, May good luck pursue you each morning and night."  OMG, I just realized the word "morning" is misspelled, gonna have to get in touch with Digi Doodles.  lol  Well, just overlook that part also...

The sentiment on the inside is also from Digi Doodles, oh no...."For each petal on the shamrock, This brings a wish your way, Good Health, Good Luck, And Happiness, For today and Every Day", whew that one was correct....It really is a cute one because it has small shamrocks on each capital letter.  I added buttons and flowers and sent it on it's way...Hey, that rhymes kinda....

I did get a chance to do some shopping online today.  So will have some new images and papers to use.  I love receiving new stuff in the mail...lol  Hope everyone is having a great day.  Mine was sooo much better than yesterday.  So I am a happy, happy sassy girl...Thanks for stopping by....
