My buttercups are sprouting and some are even blooming with the warm weather we are having here in Alabama.  Too warm for this time of the year.  So I decided to make a spring card and used the sentiment from Word Art Wednesday on the front.  The flowers are actually die-cut stickers that I distressed and added some sparkle to.  The picture does not show the true colors as they are very bright and beautiful.
As you can see on the inside of my card I again used the die stickers and distressed them, then sparkled them up.  The verse is one I found on the internet:  " It's nearly here! It's coming fast! The robins will appear at last, Oh Wondrous Joy! I too shall sing! And join in Nature's "Song for Spring" "

These are the supplies I used:
Card Stock, Embossed Paper, Ribbon and Die-Cut Stickers - My Stash
Dies - Spellbinder and Cheery Lynn Designs
Sentiments - Word Art Wednesday and Internet
Distressing Ink - Tim Holtz, "Tea Bag"
Glitter - Ranger Stardust Stickles
Adhesive - Sookwang

Noah and Patches

It's Sassy Cheryl Challenge Day and I am showcasing my card using Cheryl's "Noah and Patches Stamp".  The challenge is "Spots and Dots" and I think I need to go fetch me more spots and dots because I had to look long and hard for paper to do this one, lol...That's ok I love any excuse to go shopping....I was going to use blues but could not find any dots in my blue paper so I had to go with the greens.  I used a sketch for the Cards For Men Challenge this week and used the brown gems to highlight "Patches" and Noah's shoes.  The gems are not as shiny so they were perfect for a male card.  I always have fun using Sassy Cheryl's images and I seem to get the most compliments when I use her images on my cards.

The picture of the inside of my card turned out blurry somewhat but then my camera's battery ran out, so we are stuck with this, lol....  I used the same papers, distressed around the edges, and at the top I did a checkerboard strip along with a little sentiment that just simply says "Playtime".  I used the same white pen as on the front sentiment.

Below are the supplies I used:

Cardstock, Pattern Paper and Gems - My Stash
Image - Sassy Cheryl
Coloring - Copic Sketch Markers
Glitter - Ranger Stickles "Stardust"
Distressing - Memento "New Sprout" Ink
Highlights and Sentiment Writing - Sharpie Poster Paint White Pen
Dies - Spellbinder Nestabilities

Pink Kisses

For my card today I used a Mo Manning image, "Kisses" that you can find at Mo's Digital Pencils. I love this cute little image and the little heart necklace.  I normally do not do cards using lace but thought I would try it since it seems to be very popular in many of the challenges.  I gathered my lace and stitched it together to form a circle.  Then place my flowers in the middle.  My verse on the inside of my card says, "There's no better way, Then to simply say, I love you so much, For making my day".  Not sure where I found this sentiment.  I love seeing all the lovely lacy and romantic cards, just have not done many myself.
These are the item's I used in my card:

Card Stock and Papers - Joann's Crafts
Dies - Spellbinder, Memory Box & Cheery Lane (inside)
My Stash - White Pearls, Flowers & Lace
Ranger - Stardust Stickles

Emma with Her Flowers

Back again today with a cute little card from Lili of the Valley called "Emma with a pot of flowers".  I colored the image with Copics in different shades of blues and blue green.  Even the little puppy is shaded in a light gray blue.  I used a Spellbinder Circle Die to cut the image out and distress around the edges with Memento Blue ink.  I added two doilies and left one in the white and distressed the other in the same blue.  My gems are a dark blue to match the dots in the flowers which are all from my stash.

The inside of my card stays with the same blues as on the front and I used a verse that was in a card I received once. "These Birthday Wishes are coming your way, To a special person on a Special Day".  Again I used Spellbinder Circle Dies to cut the sentiment out and the large scallop die-cut on the bottom half is from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I added some light blue gems to each corner.

Love John 3:16

Back again today with a special card for the Fussy and Fancy Challenge.  They wanted cards with "Long Sentiments/Verses".  Just what I have been waiting for....I knew I wanted to use white and black and just make it a one-layer card.  You cannot see the embossing very well in this picture but I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder with flowers, then the lovely sentiment is from Digi Doodles and is beautiful.  I used a large scallop Die from Cheery Lynn Designs to cut the sentiment out then yes I distressed it on the edges with Memento Black Ink.  I used Kasiercraft black pearls on my black/white polka dot bow and the bottom of the card.  The small flower is one from my stash.
On the inside of my card I again embossed it with the same Cuttlebug Folder and then cut another die cut using the Cheery Lynn Designs Die and distressed it around the edges in the black ink.  I added another black and white flower from my stash and left the inside of my circle for a personal message.

Today's card is for all the men out there....The ship image is from TLC Creations and my papers are all from Joann's Crafts.  My die cuts are again from Spellbinder and I have distressed all around the edges of just about everything.  I would have done the dog too if he had been in my craft room.  lol  I used Tim Holtz's Distressing Ink in Tea Bag.  Boy, I love that stuff and can't wait to use his distressing markers.  Saw a  demo video where he was using them.  My gems are some from my stash, but I think I picked them up at Hobby Lobby.

Whoops, looks like my inside pic is a little lopsided, well just tilt your head....I used the same papers and die cuts and the sentiment is again from TLC, "You're Amazing!".  I like that sentiment because now the card can be used for almost any occasion.  I would love your comments and thanks for stopping by.

Psalm 46:10

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I think I finally learned how to get pics of the insides of my cards.  So we will see how they look.  My card for today is a Bible Verse from the Word Art Challenge.  I decided to go with blues and cream. I cut the verse out with a Spellbinder Nestabilitie Die, as well as the cardstock papers behind it.  You can not see it very well but the blue cardstock behind the verse is embossed with Cuttlebugs Dot Embossing Folder.  The flower embellishments are from my stash.

Now for the inside of my card...As you can see I used the same pattern paper and the same Spellbinder Die with a sentiment from the "Thoughts" package at Whimseys Stamps.

Hopy you like my card for today and thanks for stopping by.  Have a great weekend...

Justin's Birthday

Birthdays...We all love birthdays or we used to until like me I got just too old....heehee!  Today's card is just that, a little guy birthday card.  The design is from Mo's Digital Pencil, "Justin's Ice Cream".  All my patterned papers are from K & Company.  I used a blue paper with zig-zag stitching on the edges, a happy birthday printed paper along with a striped patterned paper.  I used Copics to color the image, the Happy Birthday sentiment is from Digi Doodles.  I also distressed the edges of my image and sentiment.  The ice cream cones were actually buttons from Hobby Lobby that I cut the backs off of so they would lay flat on my card.  The inside is finished with the same papers.

Button Flower Bag

Ohhhh Sassy Sassy Cheryl again...I think I must be her long lost, lots older sister, lol.  I just love everything she does...Today's design is yes, Sassy Cheryl's, "Button Flower Bag".  I have used this design numerous times on cards and everyone just loves it.  So I thought I would brighten things up some and used it in a different way.  I used Making Memories Brads in the middle of the buttons and on the card.  My card stock and papers as well as the ribbon are all from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

The inside of the card has another sentiment from my little book of sentiments, where I have collected many verses and poems that I have run across.  Only thing is I forgot to write down who or where it was from.  I used the same papers and more brads and here is the verse:
If you're alone,
I'll be your shadow.
If you want to cry,
I'll be your shoulder.
If you want a hug,
I'll be your pillow.
If you need to be happy,
I'll be your smile.
But anytime you need a friend,
I'll just be me.

For the Secret Crafter Challenge Bingo this week, I am using Brads, Flowers, and Bow

Birthday Dragon

Today's card is for birthday's.  My design is "Dillon" and he is a "Freebie" from Pink Gem Designs.  Thank you everyone at Pink Gem.  All my papers came from Joann Craft's, my sentiments are by Crafty Sentiments and the brads are from Making Memories, "In bloom mini circles".  I used Copics to color him and Stardust Stickles by Ranger to glitter him up a bit.  The ribbons and buttons are also from my stash and I used a Spellbinder Scallop Die to cut the scallop circles.  On the inside I used the same Spellbinder Die to triple layer another "Birthday Circle" sentiment from Crafty Sentiments.  This was such a fun card to put together. For the Sweet Stampin Challenge this week, I used Ribbon, Buttons and Spots.

Get Well

Do you ever run across patterned paper and think "I have the perfect design to go with this"... Well that is how I came up with this card today.  I saw this paper and knew I had to have it.  At this time of the year I never have enough "Get Well" cards.  You can't see the texture of the card in the picture but it is almost  canvas like.  The sentiments on the front and inside of the card are all from Whimseys.  The inside says "happy thoughts your way".  I used my Spellbinder Nestabilities Dies to cut them all out.  I added one of my "metal flowers" that I had left over and all done.

That's all from me tonight so until tomorrow, I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Have a new card for you today but I promise I am not going to run my mouth very much this time....I really love this sentiment, which is from Ginger House.  I remembered seeing some design papers as a "freebie" from TLC Creations that had a moon, stars and the sky.  I thought it would be perfect for this card so I hope you can see it all in the pattern and thank you TLC for the "freebie".  I followed a sketch for the Challenge at Pixie Cottage this week and I had to cut the "moon paper" to fit the sketch.  The gem embellishments are some that I have had for a long time and I used Spellbinder Nestabilities Die Cuts to cut the background papers for the sentiment.

The inside of the card has the same gray/blue stars patterned paper and an area for a personal message.  I did the card in blues with a touch of gray, I just love blue it is my favorite color  I thought it would make a great encouragement card.  My hubby said he thought he saw me on a broom flying across the moon...Yeah, he thinks he is sooo funny.,,,,

    You Make Me Happy

Hey everyone, we did not get any snow up in the northern part of Alabama, just turned cold, brrrr!  But hey time for another card right...

This design is from Mo Manning of Mo's Digital Pencils called "Brady and Chloe".  She is another one who just has the cutest images.  I used Copic's to color them and many have asked about the white highlighting pen I use.  It is not a gel pen, it is from Sharpie, Poster Paint Pen with an Extra Fine Point.  Now don't confuse it with the Sharpie Paint Pens, I made that mistake and was sorry.....Hobby Lobby carries the paint pens but not the poster paint pens, so I have had to order mine online at Mister Art.  I live in a small city so if you live in a larger area you may can find one at a craft store.

All of the background papers and card stock are from my stash and the ribbon I have had for ages as well.  The sentiment is one from TLC Sentiments and was a "Freebie" with the Aud Sentiments Challenge this week.  So thank you TLC for providing the sentiment and Aud for providing the challenge.  The inside of my card uses the same papers and layers however I used a sentiment that I did on the computer myself.  It is one that I have had for a long time and do not remember where I found it.  Here is what it says:
"Someone remembers, Someone Cares, Your name is whispered in someone's prayers".  If you have used or seen this sentiment please let me know so I can give them credit.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  As for me I am going to try to decide what to do next....

Well you know how much I love the Raggedy's and now we are going to dance...Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this time is no patterned paper and that gave me a chance to use this design again.  It is "Dancing Raggedy" and of course is one of Cheryl's designs.  She was also dancing around my blog back in January for New Year's.  For some reason I can't keep her contained, I just love her.  My embellishments are just a simple red bow with a button and buttons at each corner. Buttons are a favorite of mine on cards and scrapbook layouts.  All the papers, buttons and ribbon are all from my stash that I have had forever. The sentiment is one computer generated by me.  I used Copic's to color her and there is some Stardust Stickle's on her shoes, hard to see in the picture.  On the inside of the card I added the same yellow, blue and red squares with the exception of another computer generated sentiment I made with a quote by Mark Twain, "Sing like no one is listening, Love like you've never been hurt, Dance like no one is watching and Live like it's Heaven on Earth".  Between Mark Twain and Sassy Cheryl how can you go wrong.....

    In The Garden

Time to brighten things up some, although here in Alabama rain and colder weather is moving in.  They even said the word snow.   I will never forget when we moved to Alabama 14 years ago from Colorado the first time snow was predicted all the news stations were calling it, "Ready Set Snow".  They kept talking about heading to the store for milk and bread, so I got scared and ran out and filled the pantry full of things....well, we got maybe and inch....did I mention we moved from Colorado!!!!

Well, on to my card...I used a yellow card stock and an image from Cuddly Buddly, "Coming Up Daises".  Got out my Spellbinder Dies to cut the light pink paper out for the background and the sentiment, which is from Whimsey's, Flowers in Bloom pack, "Friends are flowers in the Garden of Life".  I added a dark pink bow and some flowers purchased from Hobby Lobby.  Guess I better get this posted before the big snow knocks out the

    Be My Valentine

Hi everyone....I think this is going to be my last Valentine Card for this year.  I am ready to move on to other projects.  So I decided to make it a Vintage Card.  The paper I used is a beautiful pack called "Spring Feast' by First Edition.  I purchased it from SCADC and I love all of it.  The flowers are all from my stash and as I bought them from Michael's I threw away the packages without noting who made them.  Oh me....The inside of the card uses the same papers with a space to include your own handwritten words.  There are more flowers on the inside also.  Hope you enjoy it....

    Victorian Love

My card today is a little different.  No colored image and that is unusual for me.  It is the first card that I have made using a doily and sticking to a color inspiration from the challenge for Papers and Such Designs.  I had a store bought die-cut in cream with a tan design on it that I decided to use and that is what I placed my doily on.  I used my Circle Hearts Spellbinder Nestabilities Die to cut out a tiny tan dot/cream background paper for the sentiment which is from Digi Doodles.  I used another cream and light tan design paper for the background of the doily and the pre-made die cut.  Then I used a Memory Box Die called Elegant Scrollwork for my flourishes.  I then punched out some small hearts in cream and placed on the flourishes.  The flowers are from my stash and although I know they came from Michael's, I do not remember who made them.

The inside of my card is just as nice, with background paper in beige and tan with the words "I love you" repeated on it.  I used the Spellbinder Die, Circle Hearts to cut out a large die and placed a sentiment from Ginger House, "And they lived happily ever after" on it.  I used 2 of the same flowers as on the front of the card for my embellishments.  Not really a hard card but I sure wanted to add some

Hello to all my crafty friends...Today's card is a simple one, you could say it is another masculine card which is okay because I never have enough of them.  I made it with a few challenges in mind and like I said a simple CAS card.  I used all left over scraps and the main stripe card stock is some I have had forever. The sentiment is from Word Art Wednesday for their challenge this week and I used a Spellbinder Die to cut the papers out.  I then distressed around the edges with Memento Sky Blue ink.  The white background is also embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Dots. The inside of the card has a tan background and place for someone to leave a personal message.  Thanks for stopping by today.

      Forever Yours

I made a sweet little pink, red and white Valentine to celebrate the day...The design is from Sugar Nellie and all the papers are from my stash.  I used a Spellbinder Die to cut the image out and then just added small flowers and placed white pearls in the middle of them.  The sentiment is a left over and I am not sure who it came from, sorry.  On the inside of the card I used the same papers and just left room for someone to put in their own words.

It's cold and rainy here in Alabama on this Valentine's Day and I am going to enjoy some Birthday cake... Here's wishing everyone a wonderful day and enjoy those special someone's.....
